Duties
$ A* U* t6 V: o' I) @Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)7 R, Z& e$ ^4 d$ O
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required6 Y) [. K0 ?7 `
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed9 k1 }+ i/ i3 C
Performs related tasks as needed( o2 F4 p1 F' M& {
Qualifications
+ F8 } c! r7 o6 H8 L0 T6 oDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
" ~- Q3 s; E9 W/ QDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
' i' ?# g6 ^2 \; QSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
. x# h) H7 i; v- @7 l6 U$ kKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
/ q. U! K' X. O+ E/ q5 Y0 f7 jFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit% c. o4 }+ S i% j" a5 F
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
