说说我的通过学习圣经提高英语的经历

刚开始接触圣经，只是因为想知道为什么圣经强烈影响了西方。同时，我的时间有限，如果能够同时提高英语，又能接触了解宗教，一举两得，何乐而不为？
三年前，开始和一个西人学习，一起读和讨论。我的英文基础还可以，尤其是词汇量很大，阅读没有任何问题。但讨论时，还不是那么自如，有时要想想再说。
学习了半年，发现再和西人朋友讨论问题时，不需要想了，直接就可以说。
再坚持半年，就可以讨论各种话题，如何做饭，心理问题，历史问题等等。
不仅是口语，听力也有了很大的提高。我现在听英文布道，很容易听懂。
我还在坚持学习，一方面是宗教也在影响我，尤其是自醒，反思能力方面有很大的进步。另一方面，英语学习是一个终身努力的过程，永远没有停止的时候。

谢谢分享，也许我的英文底子太差，看圣经基本用中文，英文来讨论圣经非常吃力，所以和英文传道人聊天，有关圣经经文往往要转为中文来理解。

我听说有一个中国人，熟读圣经，能达到背诵的程度。

他走到外面跟洋人说话，洋人都对他充满敬仰之情。

LZ是单词量大，但如果单词量很少，有啥好办法吗？不然打开英文圣经都看不懂啊，求赐教。

我觉得办法也只有一个，多读。刚开始时，并不要每一个不认识的词都查字典，只是当一个生词出现好几次之后，才查字典，不然，你很快就会失去阅读的兴趣。

我也在学习圣经，我用了简写本，不到200的单词，这样读起来生动而有趣。
