 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
3 S. N& Q3 y7 d6 }9 q3 e Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
/ x5 E% [  M0 O2 P; B8 Y Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
1 C" k% I$ X) \# N7 I Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
: F3 s# Y4 M, K$ ]- s' z" Z& [/ T Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
0 W) D* @  c/ C2 f; c Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
% G8 ~; Y) I0 D) H0 L6 D: ]( x# j Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
