# f9 _. j# b3 D2 y3 d, j Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
8 u" n7 D* B1 K0 ~* ?# M& X$ e3 T' t5 ~ Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
- E* z. g& y$ p/ \6 H! Y/ ~! a Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
( U2 }& h$ i* e( W$ k) S, h Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
8 m9 I2 {* Q6 i; j' F3 {& d Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
6 L& b+ U0 z4 ?) K8 z Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
1 @( k/ t7 d7 S  T1 `- Z( p4 E0 W Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
