$ L. H0 E$ d, J( g- X; A Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
! p$ C- b! K3 C; g9 e, U9 ? Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
) ~2 j, \, w& M7 T, e+ i) k2 P Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
: m) L! B4 q" k* H. K, ~ Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
4 L5 X7 k/ y! ^" {1 m9 O; S Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
- v( U/ S9 r/ h7 A4 J Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
7 M. o9 k- o  R- \2 ` Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
0 U- y+ R2 n4 o Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
