• Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

immigrants are highly educated and experienced, yet many may find it

Integrated training offers a blend of occupation-related skills, a work

English as a Second Language.

required for the Alberta workplace. Training includes:

• ASET is a professional association that provides credential assessment

Each member of the ETIP partnership contributes their expertise in order to* x" e7 U3 c: ]% s& w7 C
make the program successful:

0 k5 e8 s# _0 v4 CEdmonton immigrant community.
' e# D( t: N6 [, Z ^• NAIT delivers engineering technologist education applicable to the2 N' ~ p; B. Q" j+ ]3 f8 q
Canadian workforce. a* W" C7 S0 K T2 }( u* q
• ASET provides professional recognition of the qualifications of ETIP

. K) X% D5 }# wWhat is the evidence of success?( \* J9 S# w" K" b9 `) y# F8 y
As of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
- t) ^: C+ t; y& t# J" Ofound engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.( v% m3 f0 [, p0 Y# l F
In 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of
9 ^" j$ m: x( F- J0 Ygraduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,7 H2 l) n% a( ^( L
with over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.9 Y" G I$ N; j, R9 ~$ g
