Duties: _4 j$ A7 G {4 ?" h+ M
Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model9 x9 e; r4 Z3 J1 Q! Q
Generates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents8 }* O( Z0 i# C; g% h7 K
Works with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results
* j- l& \* ? a0 y: L3 j" p7 GImplements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available. T# p: J) H9 O5 c
Provides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface8 N h. H, A) S, X$ n
Installs software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software
