Duties+ q1 i# B3 S! w- Z/ z
Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
, O& t& Z' v$ rGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents
$ V2 @" v3 m- d! N) l" k( lWorks with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results+ `3 V& N' P4 `1 P$ P$ `
Implements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available
: D* q: _0 ^( t) D/ fProvides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface
/ P! k. _4 a! g2 O( @! CInstalls software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software

Programming in C++ and Unix, website development and maintenance
