We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

) h2 C7 S6 h$ aReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

8 \; d$ ^  g- p* _+ k7 ]( P0 [- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

, J2 j5 H) n4 O+ N- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- D6 f0 n8 D# {. G7 S0 K3 K0 H- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

+ W# I. b$ v8 Q1 s; O) k- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

$ ^9 t5 F  R8 w' T+ m- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

  L! e  D  i; ]3 a  [) }3 K- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
' J5 S( [- I' v( O; W
- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

! X- s; y+ Y) Z  d+ L- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

+ a" W8 s% C) M0 O- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
