We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

1 z1 N9 v3 \5 @7 q/ Q. ~- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

% R4 t6 \7 w- s- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

" u& B" x9 H1 I/ |9 A: d- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

$ U5 g1 h- ]2 Y  j1 a$ N9 E) c! C- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

& a' R- f" v# f3 e- S! L- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;
