# b' E$ [/ f" g7 Z% TDiagnosing diesel engine malfunctions and making indicated repairs

3 Q3 j$ O$ ^6 a# [; \Providing daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts
Assembling and starting engines
Diagnosing locomotive component malfunctions
Preparing inspection, work and maintenance reports

Regular exposure to dust, pollen, fumes, noise and vibrations
Working shifts, sometimes away from home

Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.
