Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer
- K4 Z0 {5 l6 { Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.5 E& f0 A4 T2 s/ A/ B8 O$ D
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.; v( [5 @5 \; K! y3 S
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
5 I3 Q( W% j; w. l% P1 A8 g Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.- J0 J; p$ A4 G& x: C
 Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.3 w$ K0 P. J4 Q+ X0 w" S1 Z
 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.9 N% K& k7 {0 v% N* R. h
 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.# q# F9 C! }7 v) k/ N# v, K
 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers
$ V7 o6 A/ `" l# K0 P& I$ w Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan., `  d- r/ I4 b$ M; {" f
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.7 n* H, ~& X( S5 y
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.1 @9 x9 M- x, ~9 U( o
 Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.

Assessment Officer

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties." w; l0 h: h; N5 U
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.1 l6 }0 _2 Z7 \. F4 i' e7 ]' y
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
0 G' c7 p" x! j9 a2 w$ T5 p0 G% r; K9 m  D Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.9 M4 V( F; O+ S0 b
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.( V, k4 R, N7 X: @5 [/ n
 Create and update clients files on Mobius computer system+ w$ c7 b. g& @9 w! R6 ?0 D

Service Manager
# F$ P$ U  R! A5 b Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
& @" g/ O9 G5 z4 |# k Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment) s) F: M5 P9 D/ m6 m- b
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada! Y! u* C' i  J- m2 S* f6 A
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants9 c0 f; q8 V) h
 Complete participant reviews with the participants6 ~& B" R* B7 j, b. K
 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion! \' j- {$ F; E/ q3 Z
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
