 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.% ]- Z9 ]. W& H" @

 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives., P5 x, \6 V' [& w* D
 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers
' G' s7 u. l7 o Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
5 }* h, S; f5 p* B: c. ~ Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.
8 `; n5 I$ Y* K. z Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.

 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.

 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period- B- q/ b1 b% g7 L

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan# t9 r; f+ Y4 o; f: P
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment- {2 B; F+ m: J/ B  h- n
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada1 C  d7 P- j' Z7 C7 Y8 R0 c
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants: H7 P2 H; Q/ X7 o- |/ Y
 Complete participant reviews with the participants1 N# U% m, [* m2 {+ R
 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
& Q3 y6 M: d7 O2 f8 x1 n, Y Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
