 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.

 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.
1 I  X% X- q2 Z$ O/ ^$ N Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.0 x2 n. X' X; @4 j  {
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

Assessment Officer

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.) v* M" t" S; G6 a5 U8 r
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
: O' O. O6 `; h Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.

 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan* k* X- E8 B$ X
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment
! B; I  H+ p  s: ], V3 p Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada$ n0 w$ {; D1 k( d* [& f8 }
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants$ {& z  N. s& ]* b' J
 Complete participant reviews with the participants8 n+ Z* P2 N8 D
 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion8 q3 o0 ]1 K! ~$ B9 P' v
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
