Job Description
2 C# b2 q. a" J+ q) V- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
6 w' p" `( q+ V# q- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.1 W& ` k1 ~# j: y4 h
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
( P) V8 r9 Z- `& o! g- provide support to ISP staff
' b. D$ p9 s. Q$ M; _- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
! Q4 V$ n6 f: F% N' q- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities3 L7 e8 N* l) k# ]% L
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
6 x7 {& J/ J1 \3 _8 l% b S4 \- y# ?- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants% O" P5 b6 K" M' E
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals& x8 a! n3 d& Y, B3 k- O. _) c5 e
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
; ]+ Y) p( j; f3 E- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
3 U* n. @6 H( ]/ r; Z- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities9 u# I2 Z$ w, g6 b6 x Y+ q
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
$ n5 [" A5 y' E+ I) l/ o- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered; e$ v" o; q. U. J6 {
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available6 |- g& c% {9 u8 ?# [
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers9 d' x3 d+ d+ x* R5 _
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
) ~( i: f4 {" ^) [; H; j- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)- |: l# W6 V$ u! h$ q7 j% }- D
- good interpersonal and people skills

- valid driver’s license
