Job Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
  F# {4 ]& L5 s! @$ t. v- S7 R6 J; ~- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
. O! Z0 h6 @9 W4 X  A6 n' `- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
7 E# I' H! j3 Y5 L- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
  H- j8 t6 Y: Y- ?2 y$ t- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- s( }6 T1 v# [8 r9 I9 N6 Q- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
8 U1 t; _, Z4 N5 [2 a- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
" n* a6 a3 n5 f5 n  a- good interpersonal and people skills
- J3 b- g5 Q/ v7 i9 k1 [  h- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

Other
. Q' o; `+ i: J% K7 c! x- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
