1. It's cool.% Y) ]& O% a$ R, u( J
) ^# R! P# @) X2 h" \2 [
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. 7 r( U8 J' F6 I5 ]9 j
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)) O0 H8 A2 n7 _5 i2 L

; Z: X2 V9 e  U4 y4 U主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
  c7 {' M" v- s3 z. S    She (He) was cool in the past. ' f6 X$ _, S) t6 j0 Y5 J; }4 h' z) J
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
$ A6 B: c, d/ g# ?    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
# s4 a' `5 L7 u7 E2 |
# C( k" X. f0 Z& z7 M( d$ M但是如果说:Are you cool?又是指「你冷吗?」(cool = cold),可见 cool 当口头禅或俚语时,多半不用在问句。假如说:
+ \9 d. ~2 J; d    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
- u# |" a7 r2 a  |! U' [: P- T/ O    emotional.
4 t& l6 H* L" m' ]9 v7 L  l6 P
' l; v; b) |5 V3 Z& C% G2. Are you trippin'?% ]( u$ [5 v7 h( J: I; u) Q  j
2 j4 L! B  q0 A3 t. n
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
4 l6 X  F+ m/ D9 D4 Z2 F9 D6 p    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
* w% R5 S9 O  {# A) G, B    She (he) is trippin'. 3 {% b3 P& |6 s; R$ A9 v" I8 i
Mr. A must be trippin'. 7 @2 _6 z: p* J( T) E9 P
7 q( ~3 ]4 C- _" B. _6 k

% `$ Q" A& C, n3. He is a nerd; x- H% w; [  D  k
7 M6 a% }/ T  z3 Q7 O
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) 因此可以说: # N' |) t1 i7 D* M% A
    He used to be a nerd in high school
, G$ b7 Q% U2 g% t
5 N  [0 W7 q. I- |7 s4. Yo baby% Z" y7 S3 R1 }' j
2 d6 U. W7 b6 ~3 ^
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
2 h( G" i+ k! {  U" q4 ?. `    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
. d* I! C  g' U) W! ?& fMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. . c7 Y/ K; p) ?6 j5 w- x
诸如: ( V' }" e: ^% l. t6 P% l( ?' a( o9 ?1 [
    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) $ y% n/ f5 \& N. N4 \' l' K
; S! w9 E3 c3 m
5. She is a ho3 t6 c+ Y" E( l  q4 H
1 `4 g$ H& H4 |& m9 l8 t$ ?' \5 `
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
" m" c* Q9 z( @! A    They are (were) hos. 0 C1 B! `5 C! ?. B0 g
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
1 x  o4 o! o! j' F: ?" e
  C/ n1 {3 c( g6 w; e& p6. Catch you later!
; ^7 F+ p& Q7 q$ i3 h! P8 s) K/ K
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等) 1 l. \" q  c+ L  [0 c* M) K5 O
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
* d( n7 V0 p+ H, h- x/ ~" u(我要走了,再谈吧!)
