Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:9 N3 N( g' m5 s0 T
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;% ?( Z: B: H5 s z/ D
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.% I* A0 `+ G( }: h2 Q: s# L B
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff./ P; Z9 z9 T; |; B/ c
