1. It's cool:cool
. H) m0 w1 o/ W; e
4 f/ `3 u; X& u' a) x (可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
3 ?) p0 s) n: ?8 s- T0 A0 O' g: T/ I, F: E
That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.! V- A9 c8 Q$ G- L* C- T
5 P y) S- f# S& f9 l
Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)) P# m* g0 Y; [! H5 f3 B3 f2 _4 S0 D& Z
! W0 ^, F- T3 r! r0 N 主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
F0 \5 y5 H) I: M! _2 g f _
4 V* J$ C3 o7 j- c She (He) was cool in the past.
- r" @, _8 x4 L2 v9 v
5 Y" e; W; w# ~* r& |) _ That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)

1 m/ c6 u; i- f; \+ O1 i
" i0 M# I4 y; q' h 但是如果说:Are you cool?
& D: ^' B) H. |& \# |
She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not* H, R: I# @/ A. i. V A r

4 B& B" g: u2 z5 w; K6 d
. R# h9 @7 {& A) _) p5 r 2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
8 j+ w) E" v* T9 @5 c/ C. a
0 D( a4 s+ Y4 y. c1 u They are trippin'. (= tripping)
8 P. a: ]' D1 Q2 t2 r* k2 P* g H; c6 X

3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。因此可以说:" n. o* E. Q: t# F: p0 Y0 ?
: e, n1 t& O) W, ~' B He used to be a nerd in high school.

# y: f& o7 S r5 k Y1 A
$ t: J' }% x- ] [ l; i He is a computer geek. (意思是:虽然他是书呆子,但电脑很棒)# O# a1 h$ G+ R% L+ L, C, @' x
: C" G. Q" X( \% u6 l; }7 i& J V* }7 o- k' p1 Q1 {! u' ~8 O
I don't like him because he is a jerk.
5 o$ k: Z; a9 c3 i% a x- r2 X

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
$ A9 u' P- R* q& W% @! ^% m; w5 a; I* Q$ E4 {. b0 J
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
/ D a$ c' N. Z* M1 ?'

3 ^' P% l& x/ k
5 j/ V* c, O- Z! j Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
" U y; [# ]# s7 d' Y" ~; w- T& Z0 T- R+ P5 v5 o
5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)6 f j# X! y! a$ e5 _7 L* T, ]
! j" X( V3 [4 q U
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
