T.A.N.G. Youth Program is an educational and activity-based program aiming to equip

opportunities, leadership training, as well as educational sessions on ( m, T4 E* s4 T+ V* s) l8 Q
interpersonal skills, anger management, personal development, ; k* [. J4 B2 c6 m6 g

Each session presents concepts through interactive activities that encourage active discussion and participation.

Regular Spring and Fall Group Sessions: runs on alternate Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m." W/ H5 [6 n/ S' |: \ R1 K
Summer Group Sessions: 2 consecutive weeks in July from 9 to 5 p.m. daily1 ], ]1 P9 D, x" p3 D3 \" K7 i
2 consecutive weeks in August from 9 to 5 p.m. daily

Asian youth aged 11 to 15, who are new immigrants or locally born Asian living in Edmonton or surrounding area.$ W3 N' s# B6 c' T* ]
3 S* `/ @1 O9 SWhat is the cost of joining the T.A.N.G. program?
7 x, c( s6 Q2 E3 KIt is FREE and space is limited to 15 to 20 participants per group.7 u9 `* q O; R$ F. z/ k

Volunteer’s Duties:

# x6 G" u4 T* Q% B, ]; f Distribute promotional flyers to schools, churches, communities and social services agencies
- I6 l y, U/ _0 k6 s* F6 N( z- | Facilitate and/or coordinate activity-based function such as to host a gym day or sport tournaments or workshop on personal growth development 6 |0 A7 \8 G+ B& L4 v3 b
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breakers and/or other activities
3 {, {6 x6 C% C, V X q/ [ Facilitate or assist in small group discussions* b% w1 M' N6 E0 U
 Research activities related to the sessions’ topic
% }- d7 f1 C1 k/ A Enforce safety rules during program sessions and fieldtrips

 On-going volunteers (we have volunteers dedicated themselves to the program for almost 4 years)* N: Y1 \! R4 o. K; Z" q4 l
 One time volunteers: minimum commitment is one seasonal session, i.e. 8 – 10 sessions in Spring, Fall or Summer! {9 ] b# X1 W# R( K

 Open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youth in the program
