' ~* i0 [3 F R" }9 R. HYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. 0 w" }! T3 u1 ]
Job Responsibilities:

Payroll:
$ a+ g1 V& n) U• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired( S! @" s+ ?7 \! _
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
2 h' t' ~2 E* Y3 ^" m• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 3 o- ^$ ~4 R: i
• Input benefit deductions into payroll& t* Z' s7 @/ v% q8 J5 j7 K4 k% o
1 S1 |3 F$ O: U5 MReporting duties:
: t" q# c) u0 S' C• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
/ b8 }+ g8 v1 `( [# A• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website, g. I. S( N& }- R6 y& ?
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
( M: z$ _5 l9 o& _• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
- L% P1 b1 _4 q2 B+ d: E• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations* x) ] R( R! w! m1 F% ]( T, Z
& a( C5 U- R; x1 B4 `5 mCompliance:2 J% B' n8 z- Z7 r
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll + j0 h+ ^8 X6 C9 }. A
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
5 ] b1 M" S9 [• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies. {: B/ R3 O7 f7 I0 e0 K
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit0 l& A& a7 l. u! Z5 |+ Q9 S" ~
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
; ?' x" Y* o# h2 m, M• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
5 b2 f: o& |% E) r. c• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:
& s# x8 U9 e! s- J; k! ^. ]
0 G1 m1 V* C- N) @8 {- L' _• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP& H3 C8 j& Q) @
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association2 M0 Y8 e) q% n% D0 }+ e1 ~, Z
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
# f3 q# ?7 F5 m- M" o+ z• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
8 Q1 E# ?0 g9 F, S2 q• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
