4 b/ c/ M X6 d+ h" [- Y$ cYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. / z" Z( j$ v- E) y% O9 [* T, m0 o6 Q
Job Responsibilities:

Payroll:! v9 T( ^7 f4 W
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired6 q" x0 v- ]! i2 H
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
) M4 Y. ?% _3 y G• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
. f! e) W* T* X o• Input benefit deductions into payroll, z) e: s8 |2 i, G; D/ G
/ W4 {2 x6 l) z' k4 vReporting duties:
& x$ Z# @7 P( [7 p• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider" y( `3 d `- j
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
7 |5 r$ o8 R. }5 G& U9 x. K• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s4 d2 |" ]8 C( h7 `* W( W' j
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority" K, P- O, c! Q# S: D c7 I
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations8 ]0 @! Y& Z7 U' f; ]& t" m7 G
- _& H3 {3 ^* R; W0 X5 z' YCompliance:: B m4 x" o, P+ m8 U' ~6 a% t
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
% p5 i3 ^6 l' v/ f- N• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
; S! t1 b5 T! Z• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies) j% `! }* ?" J0 o/ Z! N
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

: q9 u# L9 {* N. a, j+ o• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
$ F8 _# q8 C4 e9 Q2 i4 C• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
3 K# v" v+ h e8 W- O1 q• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
/ C1 x4 V: a( R5 I7 S. M• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing4 H) H! P* H4 ~- z$ j# r
0 r* D0 F: m- qQualifications:) y* r2 p, ]( m& T5 X5 S5 O
/ n: S' i1 V+ [4 X6 v0 \- R4 ]; _• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
5 G8 k* z* |+ a9 ^1 d• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association2 t8 r, n# y% a b
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
5 x9 [+ R2 j/ ^" q" D) L• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
