Payroll:* ~ Q+ b1 ?. `) A3 j
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
8 M: v3 @' U+ p• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll5 K, H' Q6 F9 A2 K8 F/ g( E& Y \# N
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
" m! Y; M; r* n: e( c• Input benefit deductions into payroll

• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider% i3 y/ u. `" [
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
: {5 W: Q1 U' `" O• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
) w9 V$ P7 F1 K. r, s• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority8 n$ o4 X+ z2 S
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations1 R! Y: [4 l' N& M

6 u' D; r. \2 P* m. ~) k• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
# C5 G, I6 _6 h! i5 G7 [7 ?5 `8 e/ _' l• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
4 k* `0 B r+ `6 b9 V! r4 H• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
8 X9 Q, O1 e# q• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
+ w) {$ a+ V2 h. `! x( i• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit7 J# H6 F# W# M3 J+ E k
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department" s9 m2 b% J9 n: S( j6 }! z, R
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
1 ?, q% @+ ^! O( D( v• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

0 d6 j5 |& J) S! z4 k( X• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP9 b2 c. m1 G2 D
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
2 @3 ?7 Y5 {5 X8 i6 e• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
: A! R4 D- \/ x. c• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office3 T/ y' k# `+ ~. Q
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work; h$ c9 m0 @1 d4 m: J
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure* J1 W* G, x" s0 Q* k! t
• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
