Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

* _& D3 J& t+ _1 T8 D4 L/ l0 @Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: l5 X# l3 R8 d0 H, I# Z% O, _
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 B# K# e+ \; q" J8 Z• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 e1 m# M7 Y/ k/ R
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
: i6 D/ }' a1 `5 ~• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
: N7 x# f1 i( `$ `2 i& s, p% |, ^• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
`, I: H) m8 e3 [• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# l. \3 q2 h( G' Q6 L+ U
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ w% G7 O/ Q+ L; |
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events; q3 h& ~+ a, x U
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean4 q( G% X( o( N" w$ @
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters6 R9 [ P" s4 ?! C, m! L' ~# e
• Maintain front counter service files0 n9 h- v5 W2 U
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person7 S$ s2 z" b3 ^/ S
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! L$ d" L5 W; G: p' H9 I$ I
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
9 V% S* _+ H3 O$ F• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
U0 {: J' S" v) |0 o+ o8 H `• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:9 e, d) V5 o% c9 I, a9 a; P. W
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ X3 h2 l4 T! n+ G& n- |• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment/ n A) L1 L, S. g( g" z
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
