R- L$ j+ JPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
; w4 F; m& ^* b! a5 p+ K• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 L' ?, s8 W [7 @- F" `+ ~
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately P6 ~% G1 S1 N, @" }$ D4 v# q. E4 @
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& H" X& a* `3 G' @! x3 d" r% p/ ^) `• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
; o4 ^7 s d4 G- f5 j5 L+ K6 F+ J• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents0 B" U! }$ D! f
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker- q* w- n3 D- }
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! y: ~* n$ x) \
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events5 Z+ x A6 ?' h' b
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean3 o; K8 P% e) j0 t! A! s
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters9 P2 d; D/ B! k7 M% ?8 \
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
+ Q; e- c+ b+ x, g' f• Good English writing and oral communication skills, ?) Q2 z- C- H" j( w! A& n
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients k1 G7 @& G3 P, I5 i
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
* A+ D! U b+ {7 o; }- J; p• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

* i! M- m8 ?( ~• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
