Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. $ s# o, ~1 J0 N6 ]! _

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' c5 V9 Y4 Q, I( w! a5 O) b O
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- o J% ]7 H( Q& X• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 i( @2 r* |# E3 R" C K
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter1 k- O4 r, C; U! b6 z
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
, C# _ ~3 k. k, Q• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents8 h4 N; ^! ^7 F u/ y
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker* X! X0 H Y/ q# r. o" t- A
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events G+ [9 U# g' [4 c& I8 r) n
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters0 V: B Q8 g7 P0 v3 H5 \0 d. p
• Maintain front counter service files1 G0 P: U2 ]$ Y# a4 E8 K3 ]
• Perform general office duties as assigned

5 }8 f# f/ E G" q• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 I, G* L3 Q+ E
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset3 ~- d: B, c7 j: a' I! d+ @8 c* Q
• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 {' P$ c0 k1 n- q
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' R9 p+ x5 ~& E( }2 p+ F• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# U7 h% L: o H( T- [
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
- O; k: @& d/ ^0 u• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds" J) `$ r1 x/ l9 P) m+ _! b
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:8 L5 z; R3 J# K9 ^9 P6 S8 \. n
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 \- S0 _/ } J& F• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment( c2 l7 V1 J3 y( [7 x1 v/ S" `
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism1 F& ^4 z* w6 z$ Q2 T
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
