Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

/ L/ X+ g9 H5 n$ x. L/ V•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
* j9 A* l7 ^3 a4 A. s•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
* R; ?5 t: g# E, T, ^•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
" _9 r. @8 u5 L" G8 Vo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
* P, a6 V' A& c9 l4 f- y•        Track and report all warranty failures
0 d3 ]5 O' M8 A/ Z& k6 n5 ro        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

0 O7 c1 \" f9 {6 uo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

. ?  P7 o+ U9 F: k% R- Y5 |5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
: t6 O: Z% e$ U% j0 O" @  wList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
0 E, p8 A; q* _4 G•        Proficient in software use and writing.
6 J' K/ B4 z: p5 s8 ]) Z•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
