Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
/ ^' T3 l8 N6 R3 g6 q' S•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
: u8 `4 [- o  }0 T2 T•        Assist where needed in application questions.
; S, C2 g5 c" e•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
( }/ [+ X& s: s  ~, g: N2 ~o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
' S/ b, |0 ^' O& ~•        Track and report all warranty failures
5 {: g& E' P4 `% ro        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
: o2 D3 L) |! D. J•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
  P3 V4 T/ o. e0 t: |o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
! E' I' h+ n$ }* G' P' Io        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

* q  |6 U( I7 Y8 V6 ^, s5 j•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
! H4 j$ t1 Y1 u6 I* d9 O•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
/ V. x; B5 u; |. x: A0 \•        Proficient in software use and writing.
" l7 b5 Q5 G1 C9 S! ]•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
