-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
  R8 ]: f. M  |4 s2 L-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
! d4 l* v8 P  s: }: I+ p$ \$ I-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
0 a- {/ N# U& U, o7 `; ^6 p-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
7 g; T8 V) c6 O6 l/ k-        Programming planned enhancements;
" B3 ~# e- E6 o( I: m* T* j+ T7 w-        Testing system changes;
7 t" V7 v/ z+ t. y; G% g# O-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
/ n( ^% \7 x2 }2 v& S/ {* c, `department’s change management processes;
, N$ U3 Q- w# B-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
$ n6 _, y  m2 C( a3 t-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
3 A1 s! f$ H. B0 C0 W) W-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
$ a# Z% z8 k7 }( a7 A-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure

/ l; U7 f! p9 v-        Understanding of project management.



) O+ D& ^" Q0 _; QA. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.
# |+ F/ V6 w2 X+ s1 n+ T; {( a
(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
# g3 {% i  Z) t
& {: L( A$ r  I! ?4 |(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

+ \. M( a9 i% f(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

8 t6 A8 k) Y0 z( r* i/ _(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

8 |: t6 p' E4 n(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
$ g' X; J% v3 {& B(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

- Crystal Reports

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
8 t$ b# E; T' ~. ^- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
. A7 d4 w5 K' r! |; z# y+ K& A- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
