Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
" z3 L# W; a" D& i-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
+ N+ ]: p$ M! [  Q* {, c3 a-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
; ~5 e1 R4 J: A# P5 d8 P-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
+ {. A8 v4 i& Mdepartment’s change management processes;
) q2 u  }& p! ~: h& L; w-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
7 a3 ~' m6 Z( v( b) E& L' d2 k-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
7 e0 C  }% f5 [9 O6 W0 E! R-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
1 K% U4 B2 S% F  e8 z9 l0 m-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure

4 m' H. ^7 X, g" y' w" rA. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

- N/ Y- n' s& M(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

; t" R$ h/ q/ T9 E2 k(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

+ N3 g0 H1 g( }% a, U0 v(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

+ K. z& }' k, \3 ~+ @1 O  m(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
+ @+ T" V+ ^' I$ y& K(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- k: k) ^# h3 D- Infragistics controls
/ @$ l$ }* e# ]+ t/ ~- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
; Q: V4 I; I1 w9 a( @1 U" F- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
9 ~: C+ _% N0 L4 u6 Q- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
