Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
8 r! u. ~. w; v9 d- b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
' s' v7 f# m/ T/ \' y• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 [/ Y K/ f% t; O5 W0 P# Z) ^$ I• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately |1 @7 h+ Z% b( _ h! i
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
- Z. K6 q( h& [) E• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
; c: K6 Y: |) L/ l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# e. }- L, W: n: P1 m4 X1 \: q
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events- w; `1 J. W6 r0 A0 c5 E/ z
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events% }" q L, [ F" ^$ Y8 H
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
( ~9 x$ ~3 s, ?. B+ e• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned/ o$ r9 z; C4 }" T4 J0 p0 d9 k
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
% G" o, p* \* M7 |% ` j• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% w9 h6 f* ^; | P9 M; Z$ A
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
1 a- M+ M; o4 h- X0 Z6 y) c• Good English writing and oral communication skills
. A( M. p; I2 S% k! a3 {6 d" B• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 B, n! ~" a3 o. v2 X' Q• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook5 Z8 h/ e2 v, b- k/ A
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

# \9 ]6 ]6 J( a. }0 l• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience % P5 y5 k, M" p% S$ t( u1 z
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment. P; r- x$ }: e2 Y; e
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ S5 ~, M, p/ U9 e
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
