Position Summary:
2 q; z n- J9 J5 r9 Z( AWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& L1 e# H! b% L
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
; Y7 f( ~* u; I% ^8 N• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately/ d. B( S# Z; u$ X7 E
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter, ~, D+ h; N! N; ]
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 v' K( o% \4 R7 ?2 [& H• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
4 ]: n* M+ w. z2 H7 ?0 S• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
& f3 b# I* y6 M5 g: S0 @• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events9 k, n4 A) W- H5 B- h% B2 b% O
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean, \4 W: a" [- O& q
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. h4 p4 U/ R: I- K6 e8 x
• Maintain front counter service files. X0 A0 c3 p9 P, `8 y/ R3 K
• Perform general office duties as assigned) Q- Q r, t" }7 c9 q

- S9 V; h) }# y0 l, Q$ lKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* j# n P$ D1 u7 [$ H9 i) E• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person; `' E- a3 t2 ?0 |) p8 E- x2 Z( s
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
/ T6 H& i6 o& v, w2 T• Good English writing and oral communication skills
% _. `5 e' m2 j1 y, K% |• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
8 I6 `8 H) U. R4 u9 b3 c• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:5 S5 B, z. l* g: P
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience / w" y0 \! n' j- @% u9 {% d& z$ ~
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment# g0 j, {3 _0 K( r4 c: ~
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
# ~- d" ^0 P: `: L( d6 D0 y• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
