Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

/ H8 z/ V7 [; [Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

4 S+ \% L- a! L y' q; G" v- A• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person9 ]- e- W$ j; W% J
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ G/ @/ l5 Q2 \6 l+ ^3 Y
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( K+ y5 I: y1 v4 o5 L7 R8 D" H
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 {9 t& V# W) V% Q' v9 M/ _• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# D' O$ n7 l! i% [/ N' z
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% s) X% y6 o: G9 A0 _( p
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events8 v0 C( I3 ^3 j w
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters7 z; {) S" g# O$ I' b8 {* _+ ?6 p
• Maintain front counter service files. D( O3 \- `+ N0 K
• Perform general office duties as assigned

3 C! @! u/ w4 r" Y; A- cKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ T5 A; n; i: {2 o* e2 {0 N8 R• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
7 {( S- `% `" v, n$ P% A• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
$ i$ h: x- u* G8 O1 ]* r• Good English writing and oral communication skills
/ m& s( b9 `1 f/ W0 ]• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
! M' k% d% r& X; z9 `• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

9 e- x& T" n& y$ x; Y• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

! [+ h5 @5 j! q8 Q0 {1 y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
& p9 Y. ^! ?! A0 \• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ Z% ?1 o0 P. @5 x: b& P
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism9 [/ @* b) g. m3 \
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
