Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
6 R& G8 a& d" s• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person g5 }% \# T1 O5 I
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ z& M# }2 p" g4 k# v
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% R: h( J( k* }* k, S• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) Q* ^( {# D" _6 b. e5 ]! }2 s
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 I! |5 Z- w L4 M• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 N. G; f4 C* H* u/ i
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 A- S3 d: u6 s
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset* g5 I8 A- K* c8 `8 x$ x: x( U
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: a6 P0 N* q0 h$ q- F- c• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients8 L$ G/ j# R% k
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' q$ `' l4 W4 I+ E4 F$ n
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 4 K( n+ p! N2 l7 ]6 R( _8 N+ {- |
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
( h ~/ D; i5 g$ m• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
2 Q5 a s' r9 B$ X4 P• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment' s* o7 I& f& T6 ^
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
- Z$ f0 x4 C0 ~( b! y* K• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
