Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

6 @/ V) ^" m7 K- a! ?1 sWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) g+ M" f; ]7 B& V8 \
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST3 N( U: g% _# X6 x ~7 p& {. r
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
) ?) ]1 O1 \: A& E+ G1 _- o7 m• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter' q# I1 q0 f9 p4 S
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
/ H0 @: h ~7 z7 L$ s+ G6 x( M• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker' b( O+ Z! s. h$ J9 R
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ F5 n {6 X. y1 s$ k; ^5 P• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
. W& f3 y( t6 e+ `7 F& W• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
: \$ r% j# E3 S. }• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
2 F- v3 ^$ I- @5 v# w4 ]% x• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' R" B" r+ }. Z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 [1 c* N" i3 T5 h$ B% h
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients. V& ^4 G, @" ?
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook7 V N2 h" b7 G7 o
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 6 K$ W" A6 \. K8 R
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds9 z; k+ j9 }+ f7 R& y N2 [
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 S0 e; f- D& M1 @# w4 N7 C7 J: y
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment5 X' ]5 C: K* [) f4 D7 r
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" q, ]4 v$ ^& X' ]* n
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
