Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

0 K* O+ K+ Z0 U% n2 A5 N p" f& S, wWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person; m4 p1 |# o5 w) s2 g3 a* [
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST6 C4 J1 x$ @" E; k/ K
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& F/ \% R# @+ {- I6 \( H% B
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
" {) }. o4 H: Q0 x& m• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents' ~2 C0 V0 F' h% x* `
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
( B. W2 M( J+ ?• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events' C% o9 G( Q- P0 ^& ~# b7 n6 h8 \
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

+ e7 v" ^; R+ I5 j• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

' @0 g/ ]# \' a# h0 X% RKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
% L6 E( X7 _4 c' s/ G1 F5 J" k' R8 G• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
5 I \- B% U: p M/ T, ]* |8 d• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset- L# H6 S- ?+ @. s2 {1 N" h) y
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
! w2 s8 J, p$ @$ V: `• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 T6 I2 K' u# |9 ^• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

0 Q' c" H+ m- y5 u3 L6 Z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 p4 J, I4 Z3 o0 u' Z B4 Q0 f
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
& L1 a+ }8 t( {+ _+ Z• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
6 p' v' o- ?. e8 _# F$ r• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
