Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 8 x0 G& D7 r, a" K) Z

Key Responsibilities:/ O# t, c/ I! z/ [
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person ^# l' P5 T$ Z. x
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, z: j7 i- c( c) @- [, O6 j0 R• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& U( j: G$ p: p4 M• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
8 O" v7 R( _. k% ]- P. N9 H/ v• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
7 @5 h8 [3 q1 x0 [# C5 l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& p! j! L) [* p! o• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
) o7 |( o U" t+ d• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:$ N. t! ]: u1 n% L
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person, f' R5 d/ [: u W0 G
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset8 _ ~2 }" l6 ?5 _
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
- }, A* U( m5 b2 G: V6 r• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
# T& V) u' o" C• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services$ t; p5 u+ [% s* ]* Q I2 C
l7 V' i; y" n! MQualifications:4 F: F* |8 v. G1 _/ S
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
% p. u2 ]" r# n6 C• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment' r% k) x( n( i. F& A! \
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
* a9 l0 D& L9 h9 z* M- q1 X• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
