- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
- T: ?- \$ b- k% ]- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services% J% t1 ^" J8 W$ t9 b& b" B
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
" F: X; _" X' J1 s. z- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* s$ k2 |3 D9 R; N* U# q, t+ H
- coordinate good will activities
: o1 F5 b3 v3 B" z- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members
3 C/ y: b1 v) Y5 e8 N" _- submit information for community news 0 p* Q. ?0 E5 \/ n& S
- prepare and send AGM information to members
; v9 C. S p# N5 A) y; f) Z9 b, h- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.% d x9 G7 c& @0 M4 w6 ~) b* F
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
$ P! {, d3 S- L. J7 K" S, ]5 D- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre3 d8 y0 i( ~1 ]$ T
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services8 n; ~ C2 [7 z$ F6 G
- assist in writing proposal for ISP% y7 N( U3 o* y/ [0 K8 L
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP( ~: U" t* f& I- A5 @# E" Z
- explore new ideas for ISP
# @* e3 A7 c' P$ L- hold regular meetings with ISP team6 P) N+ N- a+ w9 a
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time/ [9 `* a' c/ L; [& x
- update membership database, W* M+ a; s+ i4 C. B$ E/ T
- coordinate good will activities
% k/ r' p' L3 c3 p# j- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)' K' u6 t( y# p7 Z# z
- report to Settlement Services Manager

Qualifications
2 x8 H) F3 b7 F' \- degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ! A5 q' k, H% q$ f" @7 w
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 x4 |# i7 E7 {* a/ d2 t& }- experience in community work and immigrant services
( N: k" w4 \5 x9 N# n0 S" V- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
& t# V! w. P5 A& q- leadership skills
0 g& v9 C* d' S9 Z- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, @! L Q$ I2 n
