- submit information for community news
# X; T, L! K! X# ~; s# c8 _/ i- provide volunteers to update membership database" L8 {, C: j) h" K5 l3 ]1 |
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
: D' v- T3 L' g( e3 |+ ]- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
5 q+ k- V* H" d" O8 f0 R- F- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties; o3 t$ d7 _7 @' L. z
- provide volunteers for various programs
0 o+ m# {3 A4 y& h- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
/ A7 i- ~: u& s {, F- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
- Z f2 P: q$ G- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
- T. i! m. G* o2 g8 n4 X- \3 C0 ?- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services) a6 r+ e3 B! g$ a) f# s
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
, t# o9 T5 }/ _+ y A- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
' u. x) `+ L1 \+ z2 o2 g- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
* y' W( Y* j6 W2 p1 i) j/ M" G- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
4 @/ L1 q* N/ z- @- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ; ~$ P5 r" ~2 Z2 N. Y/ m& q
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications$ T/ b% t" U2 o1 S: W
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
* Y, T1 e0 o3 S2 u. i/ D, l- good oral and written Chinese and English skills" X6 r) x; s4 p
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services' X& `2 [0 n& m' j. a: Z5 ^
- leadership skills
