- provide volunteers to update membership database
0 {2 j' A: {, E7 |- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers% j3 k4 V. S& \: }7 m3 a2 _7 C3 o
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties* i" V4 o, D" N% K- Y3 s" }4 D6 L
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
4 V- N" L4 s+ ~6 E; B, Q- provide volunteers for various programs
6 v& c$ b Z- k1 G- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
k* P/ Y! W- V2 w$ Q- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation- C+ G0 R, o' Y. b
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
; T6 \/ C1 s" y8 z- @- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
- z. ~" z g; {1 e- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
) ~7 k$ D0 ]: ^) \- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 7 W; I3 k5 B5 O: \5 S# J
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
* ?: I0 j. x. C& _5 e% t4 f- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers # ^: Q2 E0 r1 S, W
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
, Z% n. ^- `( Q1 ? P# R, h- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 5 \) F: F; o, I: g" P
- evaluations 6 j* b2 R8 O1 C! ~' T
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

2 i: L3 q# K3 k- S0 c0 J- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
: i6 d( V$ A4 t- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. b+ C3 v; S W: l' S% z: r, j
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services1 u' f( Z7 x( a1 m8 W9 o
- leadership skills, n+ q3 X% Q1 @/ S
- management and supervision skills. w+ v4 g/ A/ |# y7 Z" h: C
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills4 \* h% m1 }) ^, l* s
& x. X. W* B, K4 \& g
