Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 g& @1 y F6 M! z

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
. V5 h, {; ?9 c. x( _. ~• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 R! u- |* J% b' J4 v5 n, a• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 D' Y9 ?& ]. |/ h. o7 ~
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( G* B% D/ f+ E# R1 x+ c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ n3 p6 M5 f0 C ]+ y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
* A) Z9 c: P7 ^• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events9 [3 F B% ]1 d0 v
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person

• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 b- S; Y! F) N1 D" y# y: z4 C
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients3 c+ ~3 P& P$ t F( i- i) c- |" Z
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 W% k# ^% p% ~$ \
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
) k6 F& n7 _$ o• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
