Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
+ g! y+ w: L* J y+ l• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
5 g2 p' o+ ?5 N• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST, w" Z/ [( z2 K/ E. A2 ~
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& Z, Z5 [5 Y& O3 h
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
- o$ C. Q, L% y1 H$ v2 h: G• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
& Y: D1 z9 M4 H' ^4 k( d$ ]+ k7 Y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
7 e% j& `! C" R6 V$ ?• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
0 E. T- j K' f) h6 f* I• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events* }6 y$ U/ _ K' h7 Q" A- Z( n
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean6 L7 \2 W( p3 K) ~+ T- }
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

/ `" ^8 M( r. |0 y" ^% o( ]• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 W; O) J v& L) A5 @' I• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 Q3 d) E$ g. c$ a• Good English writing and oral communication skills
( i: K9 o( B$ ]. q8 e• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients1 a. N( D" A. m6 a* [8 H* P5 D6 f
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook4 M8 V. l! y! @& M
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately a `9 W" o) r% u1 t3 l. \
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
" _# g7 i- M+ q" D• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
. u8 C3 y8 L- K& W* j# ~• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
( y% f6 E/ z, n• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
) J/ o* [. V! W( f, H# D1 l• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
1 h K2 O! m' R+ k" B5 G L• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
