Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required., P' [# J Q4 P) B$ U

; W% P, n* ?! ^0 J9 `, x8 IResponsibilities and Tasks
1 f7 ]& N% ^* n; T0 u
- y, w& ^$ ~' b& |% ~& {+ v% c- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
5 R6 d+ v- e8 A- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements$ \! y8 H c( A: l7 j
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
7 s) d. g1 N/ W, u: V- Select type and size of pipe required/ h# R( U! u5 c; H0 u1 C
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
3 L! e* N! s, m% Q- y$ v) [( I- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system7 O4 k8 u5 ?; ^; p) S
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems! s" }. M+ t- x2 O q5 b$ l. J; ?
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment* f, F: k* h- i4 Q& |6 s- ~" y
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
a1 K, F V: e2 J. K- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system1 h, j$ m/ E6 U' o
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

- Completion of secondary school. n/ _4 ] J/ B
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation * n# y1 S: t2 ^! s( |; R
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals: H: j' I: z! w9 z
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* G" P+ O' _! c( w. m8 B- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
