Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

4 `' @. j) u0 P- K- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment ; S- X2 x5 S0 l. l4 ~, k* O
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements9 E; R7 O' p1 ~5 B; @7 g! W
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
+ O8 z& h( F, U9 T- Select type and size of pipe required% \4 p- P# E! N# q
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
" b% m. W: T, U: F- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system7 @8 I a& X2 T6 ]% d- Q# f
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems, p5 ?+ L% o2 ]0 b- E
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment

Required Qualifications

2 c( S) V1 g8 \- Completion of secondary school
) R$ l, V5 m% k, S2 |. F) n- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
8 j. Z. J) d# a$ J1 E1 Y; I- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals# m; L- N, V _7 l
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
