) D. E; j8 l/ ULocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

- ?" q$ Y0 T4 M4 N j, d( f7 YResponsibilities and Tasks
, _- {- e$ r1 K, Y# @1 s, V
5 M) r/ Y2 y- h! p, s- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
* F9 ?/ b9 e- M7 O- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
$ i# P' o# `) s; G! z- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines D5 Z* q$ w2 T
- Select type and size of pipe required4 x, D8 d7 P+ I) ^, W
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
% Y' `0 t/ d9 k# @7 h- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system, ?3 C4 W: ~) }8 Y+ K3 Q: X
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems- j- U8 K3 c3 v' {
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
* J" r* m# Z. t5 z" O. P+ A1 x" A- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system' m6 Y6 n5 C8 A% f5 x
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system' d9 L7 x, ^7 B3 H
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

Required Qualifications

" t% q3 Q: c& F2 h' c$ P* V- Completion of secondary school
- ` T: t7 |$ v ~' M7 b- |- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
M' Z: t Q8 u% G- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
9 r: F$ ~# o4 R4 O3 B& V5 V5 Z- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. n* x( x/ N8 s0 ] n9 t+ r
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
+ o! M5 D3 e) T, j8 L, u: N3 q' l- Safety tickets are considered an asset
