Position Title: Outreach Worker
Terms of Employment: Temporary(3 months), Full Time(35 hours per week)

Job Description
3 C2 S0 ^5 W" \% S" L-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
" C. \; R, ~" Y8 G9 x8 d) q+ J-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
9 A5 m2 J/ p8 S6 g-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
6 w; w5 D+ _& v" l-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

-other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-fluent in English and Chinese

-valid driver’s license
