Job Description:

•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
: u; B) B& Z' @5 b•        Oversee hotel security requirements. 7 W& D" G4 D( c' x+ I  G2 l/ V+ G) m
•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.% b, P1 _) e( u; c  F
•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
  \* y8 v9 D/ `% V. I9 W5 k9 q•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
* c9 `6 ?* s9 x3 L3 M7 ]; t•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.0 {/ b, a) T% J! X! R
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.; y0 w. `" I* j3 p' m% j+ Y
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.) \2 v. i$ H0 d# E' f3 c
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff. 3 `; H9 `1 S0 ?" O1 v& W7 g
•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term. ; ?7 B1 `6 ^& n( U1 O" c  G$ ~9 \' c
•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
+ |! I) Z* {; P+ H•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
" {5 F  E3 l' w& z3 G# V•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.
, ?7 _  [1 W( P" ]6 K•        Attend Cluster meetings. ! J. T2 T& m/ e$ ~2 Z
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
5 _) N& a; h0 Q* n; B•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department # l1 T; \! k, u  n) T% E
•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies
, \8 `( a" x4 V4 f•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center
: B6 O4 T% E& T9 m5 f! N( {•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float

•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property
. k3 X. F" ^4 I; G  j2 I3 |$ Z/ A• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;0 h3 ?9 E' g4 a/ Y* y- x
• Ability to lead and develop;
; K, Z1 v& W9 e• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
7 G! G2 A+ p! V; C4 f• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;8 Q' N# ?& S6 m
• Ability to work within deadlines;
$ n, Q0 q( \5 a1 X; e• High level of creativity and innovation;  |7 S  z; Q0 x( ]
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
