•This position is accountable for the effective development, delivery and evaluation of Integrated Service Program funded by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services * m% r5 X) C- @$ }) u
•Specific accountabilities include analyzing and defining community needs, assisting in the development of new initiatives and overall strategy, participation in community and/or industry advocacy and social action processes, project management, recruitment, leadership and performance appraisal of a team of up to 10 para-professionals and/or volunteers, program priority setting, maintenance of appropriate reporting, development and management of program budget, preparation of report submissions to funding or regulatory bodies Y8 ^: F' @4 P2 Y, o" X% Q# j
•Required skills include: understanding of client needs and appropriate interventions, program implementation and evaluation, creativity and ongoing program development, leadership and co-ordination of service provision and administrative functions, participation in budget development and monitoring, staff recruiting, supervision, development and evaluation, client case management, program data collection, data and narrative reporting
' u B% v: T! X0 @. j; s- Y- u•Responsibilities include relationship management with CIC, AHS and other organizations; community development planning and activities; participation in and leadership of agency-wide projects.
$ Y2 [) X$ Z* y/ P; p•Coordination with other program coordinators in LINC, ECALA, family, youth and senior programs is essential

/ x# q6 V$ i$ Q( k! b) x•University degree or diploma in a related field or extensive related experience ;
: J% ]- h0 q0 ]. ?•Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit/voluntary organization;
! `# U3 O4 r1 K8 S& B/ }•Knowledge of settlement/cross-cultural processes, human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;6 h8 A3 K7 Q9 p
•Two or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization or demonstrated potential I [/ V: R- K& `
•Fluent in English, knowledge of another language is preferred but not mandatory.
