Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By " i! Q; P3 C5 E1 C# f
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of ^- Y& q$ U0 K* M, |
information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

5 M7 E" o- q8 S. Mof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
u$ d! V+ i2 }- Vlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 9 E# A, s: c; p1 i0 }' F( G
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 8 E8 G; g0 ]4 x/ M A9 t( A
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ' u: F& i' r3 R( K: Z
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday % g/ p6 _* [2 y; x7 b# S9 x
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
7 c r- u, W+ A; x' GHawrelak Park.* _" _' V, d% P9 D, O: s
5 t4 Y6 R" f: e9 Q0 |! @9 PYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on p J7 B6 Y9 s
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
8 v! i/ V0 c* N K: i( fand then continue to meet with for the entire year., i! f, m+ c- h. p h
; t7 I2 U6 f1 B8 gBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 9 Y- \/ x: P3 J4 m8 P, O% \
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
$ S/ R, V( v! U- Myour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 9 X& B3 _# w+ U( L! d# R( }
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
L$ B: ?, A0 w" o$ D/ ryour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
8 ^* u5 |* X1 H9 c- r# S/ sof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
& B z( e; P/ U7 M: oComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic % X( @ u, G, @0 a7 `
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ( U' H2 j# N) X. m0 R5 c* {9 `5 v' \
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
$ n( U. v; m, L v' l) Htwo days of Orientation).
