Job Description:

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

9 ~, p! P0 S7 O4 L! m! w: f1 L• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

, t! d0 f5 ~. `$ e* `% G• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

) j( I6 q2 I1 ?  H• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
( ~* p# p, h9 l9 b( \
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

• Ability to travel and work at various sites as required.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:
0 ^# P1 h. E7 r& Q( v: q) B3 ~) j
-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

2 v( k  J5 P, ~! u*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
