买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

* T1 z* O2 K* H2 d  e" }/ qYou can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
5 W# @8 ^" N% o$ K0 |8 C8 |0 D•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
' F  H3 y( c8 F( d•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer)., n3 k1 V0 d! B  F
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.

! \$ V" G+ u3 D3 }When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
