Newcomers are being offered some help when shopping for a home in Edmonton’s tight housing market. - v. q( @! ^9 l; z0 ?' R; n9 n+ x
Immigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents.

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items.

% ?& d4 ~% S) q; q“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board.
