Immigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents. 2 O4 J6 Z# a; i( m: l

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. ' r- H; G$ R' ^- X- n

“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board.

The program was announced by a group called Changing Together… A Centre for Immigrant Women.
