Savages

Builders of canoes,
$ B( a4 R" P- X: w1 Z7 yBlack smiths
Murderers,
Risk takers,
5 ^6 w, x! o" p. hMy mind is full of curiosity and wonder
' E2 W8 s- i; Y& I& G5 ~2 t( ?5 {% aAs I think of what could be.
The world is so big to me
3 a; U/ t' r8 m4 K" |' kI wonder what it means to be
I looked up at the star and smiled
They flashed as they have heard all I have read.

Here am I,

Legs in a bonfire,
$ Z9 p' d. K8 \' U$ {8 W' @Head in the sky
Lonely, with the feel of betray
& l' A( X7 _6 F  L3 X8 LHeart empty and hollow
9 D& }) Z- ?9 R: VAlone I stand
% n+ @: r. T, n! f+ z: yI am useless to all
0 A/ b% `' [1 L, n# o+ e' QBut I wish I were a dove
1 C2 d$ E' A. y% s4 j4 S$ K: lGiving myself to the world, to the fire
I feel like burning myself in to dust and fly with the wind
I sent prayers to my god
Though he does not answer
He bless me with the gift of hope
