Job Description:

5 w+ g9 o$ h& TPlan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
, j! x" F% t% w# [Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
% E9 P- N6 y8 }' ESupervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
: v6 g& l, h9 nRecruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
( w: w7 G* U$ k, x1 mPerform administrative duties
; |( h0 V) N- [$ \' p/ FComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
4 z' W% D  a( I$ GKeep time and payroll records
0 r$ o& X2 k+ L1 L0 zMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
& X9 H7 r5 \0 d6 Y# ?+ QWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
