5 z9 X m4 h' B4 \0 NPolice Sgt. Doug McIlwraith said Tuesday that Angela Ta has been charged with passing a motor vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk, failing to yield at a crosswalk, and careless driving.9 x7 K6 O+ f* g; R& S" ^/ ]
McIlwraith says the charges could mean a licence suspension, a $2,000 fine or six months in jail.2 z1 M& z; a0 @' N* p. J$ i1 I
Six-year-old Jenna Chang and her mother, Ye Qiao, were struck Jan. 18 by a black BMW while using a marked crosswalk at 32 Avenue and 37 Street N.W.0 @7 x" P% U6 v5 q9 ^/ `
Chang died of her injuries. Her mother is recovering in hospital.
