Ron Cousineau

Ron Cousineau

Ron Cousineau, 64, is retired, but used to be a partner in Oil City Energy, a hydrovac and horizontal drilling company. He said he wants to return stability to Edmonton by ensuring taxes are frozen for four years and reviewing each city department to eliminate waste. He also wants to move the intake for Edmonton's drinking water further upstream from the Rossdale treatment centre, worried run-off from Edmonton's roads is causing cancer in the population. (Note: Epcor is continuously monitoring the water to ensure it meets Health Canada’s Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality.)Cousineau said he'd start a new professional women's hockey team to save the Coliseum, selling shares to get the financing.
