To become a probationary driver you must:5 w) y- y2 Y" \, `5 C

Be 16 years of age or older.
8 p( e6 o! K& Y% d8 J7 H% ?Pass the standard Alberta Class 5 road test.

Probationary Conditions：

/ b7 A u o, c: }1 b# _1。ust spend a minimum of two years as a probationary driver. ; P v( O$ e0 n M2 V+ L
2。No more passengers than seat belts.
! ?: i/ t. ~* j8 x0 a" m: c( C4 W3。Fewer demerit points (8) are allowed than for fully licensed drivers (15).
" D, {; J, k c9 M0 ?4。Have a zero alcohol level. + ^2 P! {8 x$ L1 @* I
5。No upgrading to a commercial licence (Classes 1, 2, 3, or 4).
