i7 s, T7 d0 u" x8 h o# d# LEDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association.

9 ~: x! t( y6 r) x5 b"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday. ! @+ u' e7 }) f0 F1 [! h
