Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
' J4 s# @9 w, u/ O% PThere are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.1 N! q% B% L0 ]
8 A$ A$ y; `7 |$ n3 PThe company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.
