This position is an important role in the company where the successful candidate will lead the strategic sourcing of all required products and services.

The procurement officer is responsible for:
9 U  ]# b% X9 \* T* M) w/ R( d-        Identifying and serving the needs of each business department
-        Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
! U$ ?9 E/ I3 @" j5 f4 Z3 n) J; T+ h9 M-        Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts
-        Building and managing supplier relationships
-        Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses
! n* A) _, H, E9 l3 B0 }5 R
Requirements:
- Sound research skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
8 `- M& z. r+ F/ b- Strong organization and time management skills
5 `; a6 D( v2 m4 x2 F2 e* Z. W- Friendly and outgoing personality
$ A) M) b% v$ W# q/ K, N* M; y- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
; X$ G9 n0 X: o$ b9 d- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred  
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
