" {) S' S6 R+ @& TThe two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.3 z4 ?+ I% r f5 i! s
! k+ ^; e! A+ ^# o& F5 c“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge.

It also will include hotel-quality washrooms and private sitting rooms for nursing mothers.) j9 M2 c& F* r. _, j! t

Southgate, a 36-year-old mall located south and west of 51st Avenue and 111th Street, now has 130 stores and services. It is owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge, based in Montreal.$ Q7 [6 [; j( \; t
