Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

1 |6 p+ x* c$ P# m· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

2 v/ ?7 p" l$ I$ ~0 X; J2 P· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
1 A& b3 s  I& p9 h  ]& h& Q/ y9 ], b
+ h5 C: U8 u- \) z* _3 l# G; e· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
2 P# n; c) |! s1 N" RQualifications and Training Requirements
# G) `( Q" A6 p- x, {2 U
· Minimum 3 years experience
5 v% ^$ u# l3 f/ G1 U7 v0 X
· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

& p' a2 w! ?$ Q! s- x· Load securement certification

0 {( m. D5 [0 _: N  R; U· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
