Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
+ F2 I! r) N' {
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

  Q" E+ \  q& r& T0 l- Q/ c· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

0 [- G( P, y% }6 A$ B· Operate manual and automatic shifts

0 ?- v& z' w3 B) U· Secure loads safely

+ ^* B% Z2 p! X% |· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
; j2 [9 i0 z! Q9 N' O2 H& ZQualifications and Training Requirements
+ n7 V% H6 F5 Y! a
& p+ H2 z% W' e* \/ F4 U" e· Minimum 3 years experience
+ ?' _' r! Z7 Z9 d* P' ]$ j6 s
' R. S8 o' s0 \9 c6 A; v# A1 u· Valid Class 1 license

/ H# S# j  c" `' J# M2 W· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

8 e# R9 S- C4 `* n- v5 b, T+ g· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
- \) e$ @$ b/ t' n' n# P
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

% F( L  u( b8 N$ v% R* x2 K- p3 x· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
