Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

: R1 b/ Q' f6 d! h3 C' g· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

0 F8 n; w. P+ L; s  A· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

  H& }1 N) f! s6 K0 Z· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

Qualifications and Training Requirements

) u9 L2 x1 b) |) n( [· Minimum 3 years experience

) j/ X% _- M$ D4 ~, @· Valid Class 1 license

6 ^" X0 E: c' W" J9 ~8 s+ ~· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
9 V4 H" ^8 C: j& y& K
4 s5 Z. m: I" F6 m1 R· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
