CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

2 B! V+ J7 b4 a· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

: {" h4 {" n2 n# M7 b% j· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
' |: L: J1 V  Z! ~: j
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
) o+ B6 `6 V8 e6 q  z
; E! i4 o2 W* V# ]% ]& [" ~· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely
# \1 N5 u5 i* {7 |- g
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
+ g8 Z8 ~+ T. s
% K. C+ ^; t- x1 n& K- E& C· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
5 C" ~; X2 n  s5 x: a2 n  ]% S
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
( f8 p/ q4 a( e7 q' }) [1 Z8 R
  n4 m' i- y) y2 m0 [· Load securement certification
+ T' C8 C6 ^- |1 ?
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

+ j! _  e: W! f! X' o' I· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

9 D+ ~/ Q9 \+ l# b+ D· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
