Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and) _: n( X W; W0 h' a6 U- v0 B
weekend hours.
% R# y1 [% q, Q( dYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer9 i4 r* R+ ^0 O c
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the4 R& V( Q6 G1 I1 W" L3 T
centre.
- t$ }/ A' [. sThese responsibilities include:+ `1 ^0 I6 k7 F0 K+ }+ J$ J: V
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
6 J: B7 K3 ~/ m' i-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.# D* n- [" l! v
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
+ C0 J P6 _' w2 crenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
2 V. c6 R: n7 f5 p- Jfacilities’ maintenance, etc. 3 }1 h8 a G: w( N( f
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
* C" }0 U8 X. gclients’ files etc. 4 ^7 z/ r/ b/ l B# ?. P

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
* D* q& d3 l8 D: q4 _education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination + u! B1 n, Z$ ~ u' `) k- s$ \3 D
of education, training and /or experience.
' s. y4 \( m9 g+ TKnowledge/Technical competencies:
+ X P+ B& t* ]' N-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
) E" ^( Q* M0 Q' y- [2 I4 a1 h-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
