Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

. N% Q. V- t/ CStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
# p# ]2 {& l6 V7 ^$ O% jweekend hours.
% A. o" `# C) {3 vYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
( h) T$ Y. W+ t' h" |1 Glab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the) D4 s2 L5 K8 x! @' K5 S
centre.
* v8 i* D9 M6 M6 @These responsibilities include:
, p2 T. {- Z6 Z& x-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.9 ~( h# Z; s6 Y# \! p4 s
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
: Z7 }6 T+ L( ^4 y9 P-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
& t# j6 E x4 s2 U" W+ y2 w! srenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
! ?) @' Z( z& ]. jfacilities’ maintenance, etc. ! T9 P: ~, s) R* r Z. M; J
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic , j; B* u1 E! E5 G7 s
clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, , b; S, Z% ]$ S0 h4 }! u
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
8 x- L4 ?, h/ a. A' d; z! Aof education, training and /or experience.
3 d4 {" d4 Y/ W4 M* O: x% WKnowledge/Technical competencies:1 v4 x$ a" g3 `) A) ^; d
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
! s* b% A( e# R$ E+ H" q; D-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word# Y2 r! a1 M. `, z# \7 a$ D5 v
and Excel. N& D& j. ]/ n, C+ \" _
-Experience using and updating an information database. " f7 Z; g/ M! c7 k6 |* ~

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.

Abilities:
