Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
; f! u I( N0 c. R& T. vlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
, n- w8 _6 S, I# m) tcentre.# k2 {- l! c* {
These responsibilities include:
, h7 d0 W: m% G) i- E-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
$ |; [8 h( Q$ |2 `) z5 X+ X+ t-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.1 a' l6 E/ u5 G: C. P Z
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and1 g. s0 C6 B. F% i4 M$ V' w
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to - I9 P. E- N' T! b, A( o
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
+ Y ^' S0 H9 K- I$ ] O-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 6 ?6 [7 z- x5 e: ?# l0 x9 ]6 h
clients’ files etc.

# e, h) K) A& {8 x% b-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
2 u# M4 _0 d" H2 a" Qeducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ; U0 m! D; }2 H* W8 [
of education, training and /or experience. " x: d( k8 u3 {. H/ C4 ^/ X6 _6 X
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
- ^; `! m' Z, v, H4 e1 ]-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
( f4 B7 f' j) j; c6 L5 A-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word2 \% E& u ^# p2 f& L0 K
and Excel.
H: |; q9 c: J Q0 ]3 o-Experience using and updating an information database.
