The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.% [- w. k. j! A+ P N. J

) }3 V3 G3 N( l7 u9 R; sMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials$ s) z0 R3 D" b- d
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
% Y- H3 X; h+ v; V. e e, YLoads and unloads non-ferrous material
# d1 u& P, K* b% PMust be able to work safely at all times! }! a q2 D$ c, S3 U3 u1 k
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
4 s) d3 V. ^1 H' H: M+ cPerforms routine housekeeping.
9 B; G, K7 z2 N( Z+ b: m( w0 V, @: uObserves and reports any safety issues

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly
( j5 I+ {) a6 pMetal recycling industry experience is an asset
% }; m$ k3 o1 l' ~; t, f3 K. cExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting0 ~2 `5 ?' c) {" I/ c) y7 D; m
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
& d$ P2 z1 r* U- M1 s. IHigh school diploma (Or GED)
2 I3 l; m- Z* Z5 l2 ?Well-articulated and assertive9 a7 F% D0 r8 X& T' ]0 s
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
