/ k/ m4 N2 a8 l0 a6 ]' Q9 o9 ]Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
* M# D% w" c* J" E8 I" VCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
$ J( [: v/ n) Detc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
, b) Q- V; z- y) Ivenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
; H$ X3 {% p5 W, H, A$ h% R4 mexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
  `0 e3 ]6 b. z# p0 V5 vfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
  E0 [! d* D( U) P3 vsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
; w5 X/ q6 u) w5 yCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
5 y- X' W6 @/ H$ }  c6 ?% Nof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
7 U7 g+ E! [! b3 d3 c& tskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
7 T; w% U  H& G3 R4 X5 jExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
4 j9 Y5 k+ v8 L1 U7 q& C3 B: oexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
