11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
0 |" U1 Y" n' ?- U5 k- |customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
  n3 ]$ B0 q: `+ D. [
6 V  N) d  I; ]4 M: P, t( }* X3 n+ q2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

# S( M# a8 z9 p, a% K3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
) `  m$ D* B- T& x! T. g! L4 R" F# Mincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

- A! h+ z% F4 [; Z5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
, |6 Z7 n  V6 M  p  K% F$ Q4 c* Sintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
0 _5 `5 \. y( ]7 E9 K9 d' i/ x6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
6 N/ b7 ?: ?7 Z# D  I" qAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

! n& ]' E) G8 V% e: f/ s* G& U) W% |7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
' L+ W/ d6 `8 i6 i1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
2 Y1 C/ Q; C6 K* Q
' J4 t7 c2 z) Y6 @$ P6 k+ O2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
, h% _# U3 S1 T% ~- k" C3 boperation.
$ F, V  e; U% A& |( a3 V6 o+ k# y
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

8 b- Y+ r. |+ E/ M7 ~* V! y4 d4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
+ C; p# f' l1 S+ b/ ~purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
