11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

1 ?& o' C! m  A0 cJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
9 v1 U% w0 D/ a! S' W+ K0 tcustomer service and room cleanliness.

9 ]# |, @. l* {/ l5 SDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
- y! e6 a$ ]$ F: H3 m$ |1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
# F5 l6 c' U1 C( Z2 r2 J& Y% Worders.

5 T" Q- O" ~" R0 Y3 l0 E2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
* O: l/ Q: n# H- ?( x6 Jhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

6 o7 T8 O" o+ \7 N2 l3 {3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
3 _9 Y0 G+ C9 K) D5 W( ~8 htotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

6 T$ B! ]9 U6 y4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
' V# R  Z2 p1 ]7 b& T( Z' uincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

9 o# X  }5 A. k* J: N7 _3 V  X! {5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
+ O  i/ J; J# }' H8 P* Zaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
# P9 |0 R1 K9 Q0 F- AAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

9 v1 E1 F7 d# U1 lQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

- J, {% @1 e' P# k, e# v9 T( T2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
+ T& |" t5 ?0 k: W7 u7 t# k  ?operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
1 y; A6 U5 B+ O7 T! U- `policy.
5 E9 F2 s+ p/ S. o
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

0 H9 [/ M4 F/ f* NWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
