SERVER (RATT)

7 E7 f8 K0 V: `8 }' `11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
9 a! d7 F1 Y7 \3 SBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


3 a1 Q0 I: H$ w8 s9 R4 K, {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
, ?& S& X) x) |( A5 `1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
* L  A- o( n- c! r
0 z- s, Y* h8 z# |- i2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
1 Z% j& h5 h: _/ Ghigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
/ X$ k0 N  m  d7 c2 r/ maccordance with Students' Union policies.

( ?1 f6 A' P3 l) y( h# p; g* `4 A3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
1 I6 V6 l7 m& @" G0 F, W; b. S* ~2 J
5 `' O# e; u* M4 q+ a4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
6 N4 ?* A( J) r9 ]including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

: t, l# y! \) P9 s0 H7 r5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
+ k# x  n* i$ P9 l  B' i' Fintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
" b* f5 z- P: o2 X7 c6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
0 W$ @2 R, @% J, a4 O: l" vAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

' S( A# ?  V7 S; }3 r$ T; w  i  |2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

. C* D! R- a' @2 z* {3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

) h; [7 p& j  e4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
: L3 D, ]+ s8 Zcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
