11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

5 N9 K# y% `6 t3 R( mJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
# M8 d- [$ F$ A9 r& bBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

; K1 b: A" i) B5 |5 _1 r/ n- c
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
( ]+ V2 Z7 |% b$ r0 |$ W2 forders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
& k4 k0 {: C" ctotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
5 O8 j9 R5 t8 B6 L* e% rand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
; m) w9 ^$ g, h5 i2 ^7 S6 ~" n
( ?  S2 f, V: J5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
- ?' Y5 f# A2 Z0 E) vaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
3 l2 X5 a: h# s. X' J4 n6 gintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
4 `  p% Q5 o" J) i3 O6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
8 _! l1 G5 }, i  d8 }  L% ]Manager.


" \+ `; f; a: D# g! ^8 gQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
. x$ {( K+ `% C- c
; m8 w- B# P' l2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
9 \. |5 h4 G; g* H3 }1 H- x. _operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
7 e* H; t$ ~0 H% X$ r; X* Kcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
: u6 \1 z9 t( Lprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

; B& H. W! Y9 QUnion Position

* |% j& K3 J5 W- eWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
