+ p& N# d; [2 PJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
2 w$ _9 c# T9 ?' A/ WBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
8 y  M4 E* q  V7 ]5 ?3 s' G- k" Lcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
$ Z* d, k, X$ pcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

. O6 V0 y( t5 q8 m. D2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
- P1 h" @7 q2 E# ?5 ]high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
# q: d5 ?1 |8 A9 j  Aaccordance with Students' Union policies.
$ c5 `( ^) `; v+ _6 s
* x# p6 f3 r" {+ M3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
7 f2 M( ?4 |0 ?2 {including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

, Y# V0 F$ V6 Q: a5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
' R: F- `* F+ M) {intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
! n& S3 P" K* G. Z; oAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

6 j; q$ W$ o, x. X, R7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
8 s+ U- J! w- i3 S/ \1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

0 Y* S" {9 l1 R9 k) R# F) z) C3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
* |0 a- S" h! E9 Z4 G1 [
2 q6 g: ~* ^: x# g; @6 ]! I4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

3 \  W$ D6 H) c3 X9 i  @5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
; M1 U  b" Y9 c3 @! `! tprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
