11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

% e, ?# m1 m3 ZJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
$ v$ \9 d) S. m. ~) }& @2 `Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
7 ~* B  |% s" g  M0 S* Hcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
" U" b' y1 |! e6 ^! S. qcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
) G2 _# ^9 _% Q* _0 e$ e4 A# W1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
/ ]( z- w( v3 C9 ?orders.

( e6 _3 R# @' {! |7 Z( T7 E2 k; O. p2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
$ l5 I' d8 g: X: ^4 phigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
4 Y( u' ]1 o8 I$ C$ z/ ^accordance with Students' Union policies.

; [% A4 Q" |% _3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
0 K( ~+ f' r. @$ X. ?4 q/ Qtotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

" o' O& |) J& c. b* o4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
/ l  [+ E1 \: ~5 P7 N/ t8 Hincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

3 o  B$ {, k; n! Y; _4 k" C5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
/ B( Q. o- ^; v6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
2 O* U& o* e- T2 i! |5 f( ]Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

1 c% y# l7 Z, l: o' a' Q( E  @7 C/ s7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
+ [, C  a4 v/ C# k/ ?7 }0 j4 Y
. V. [+ T) R8 n! X5 B- a2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

9 |7 x* e1 F8 L, @) i. O3 q1 s3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
" W' W$ x: h9 n+ q$ Y
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5 W2 E' x# ^8 J7 l5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
