: N3 }" F0 E8 T0 g" TJOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the
# M0 m1 n! [4 Z" C9 E- kOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the # Q2 n9 |$ U" G L% \
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, 9 n( u+ _% o: v, y5 C# u
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- N" D4 ~9 h& a0 H- U7 f; C1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and
i/ e; f4 Z, R4 x" p* U5 i2 ybeverage items.4 R$ J3 A5 ~0 X f g

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the
, @: K/ M1 D- E& C# ibar and debit floats., V @4 g( T z6 N! u! ~

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
0 D% r" q0 X( A( J0 \" ^each shift, and upon closing.

5 [4 h& \6 U- J4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular
+ J7 l7 P& \) b& N% q: d- F+ C; Tattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and ' Y% O7 C3 f$ \1 i ~- m# P7 P) B
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in
% ]; w9 J1 N3 f, Mstorage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol ) m. H( ]3 L) ?1 v- K2 m S
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

& a: A" {- Z8 Q2 ]6 J5 F" B8 n6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close + ~7 X+ E1 t( a
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a
0 [* e9 h2 p7 nhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in
" q; b8 O" H l, gaccordance with Students' Union policies.

7 k1 ^' t2 S! R+ Z5 V6 {4 X4 W7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a
; L8 |3 q) [% m8 ~high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

: l7 B: K; T* C" oAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,

QUALIFICATIONS:) h7 t0 S$ t8 M# O% p( j
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

/ a$ X; l' p, u) {2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume 4 [3 q e, K) `6 `
operation.

5 D; |% a& Y4 w% s2 b6 @3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in
7 C5 c/ M; k* _" `8 R3 _accordance with Students' Union policy." K+ a: [8 e2 g
