ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action. - M# m6 x1 T! ^ }2 O

The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field. d; B$ @4 e6 J

2 D' v# p5 P, ?! U* ?1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
$ C' Y7 N' |7 d. F" o2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
