ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action. 2 _6 y- T" f# C

Community Initiatives Documenter ^: u% O7 n, N
The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.0 C( a. S% P- @) W

Qualifications:

2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.+ _2 P5 v9 H+ u
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.: d: d1 f" M. r- S
4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
