2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students' 9 r1 p7 `, u" M

Standing Orders by April 15 and serve from May 1 to April 30 of the

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000' O) A' Y! [; {4 o5 z

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

9 N, d% ^- w9 a$ U% e4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing 0 l1 O0 f4 G+ u C5 B& }
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations , X& p# X" q1 G( _" }+ T
across campus, and advertising the poll locations.: _, @. i c5 u

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

6) To report the result of an election/referendum to the appropriate % V+ M- t# m2 q6 X5 B9 Q

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections . ]& H) F% {0 |' H% |1 \& Q b

minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during ; Y1 t# J0 J1 m' ]! d2 ~
the course of an election/referendum.

, p* i4 C, o. j& ^+ X& T: m12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week 3 C* `$ Y' C" U) H

QUALIFICATIONS:# E* j& w, ^. @* `& B! d
: b+ }, r' `, r5 @$ m9 w0 W1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course
. @! o) B( e/ }for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
1 G& j9 B8 O2 g/ u" xUnion member.

2) Must have some experience in student elections.

* S* X: ^( B7 h* x- l9 K3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or
& [) n/ c: U" e1 V; u9 Zany of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position ! z; i5 D9 v, F0 P
with the Students' Union.6 s h- U1 q% S5 p4 E# I. C

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.
