followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

tickets for each school; please select 2 students from your school to

The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at
SUB
theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

+ r$ z+ |2 I0 E/ Binstructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
$ ?0 d1 z, O( Y, O3 T9 jthe
+ u' s  R& j' P  L$ {" Z5 ]* _Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
Achievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts

- F5 [& M5 e: _Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

) O' V, P& R6 Gperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
Hong Kong
