I sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply: 8 `$ O' ]* o9 u- z 9 N5 Q' V2 ?5 G: G6 f' m0 E5 ]"We have requested background information from other government 2 N) R* ?$ o6 h% |$ H8 T! Boffices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing ! _4 e3 ~0 N3 U( ]of your application will be complete. We cannot respond to requests for- y) _3 |( e# N' J, }: r3 t
the status of your application before this information is received."* L7 Y! F- [( R: }' E& H8 }

Does this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!
