7 L& d  y  _2 m% S, @( iI sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

% j) W: u2 p* f7 @& \"We have requested background information from other government
offices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
of your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
/ w; L0 x  h5 \+ G# m& _the status of your application before this information is received."
) C/ h( p, H# r+ j4 `
* o" l# l* D. l& Y" c! HDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。
