Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

/ n. {' b3 S, x) X  I- O& ?My mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

) ~) {$ `  c1 s3 J! \1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

& q# y9 W0 Q: Z2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
