' E3 G5 c+ G' U( n! P% ^•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
, C( K! B' a4 K& H: Q•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals3 v4 {3 v; P# J, P- c) E
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board6 q" z5 |( F. d- H" F& |) x
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation& k7 ^+ F; L6 G* C% A7 b

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements
# a% k. I5 r& @; c+ i/ q•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
. b& F  q7 \6 f2 \; Q•        development and management of the programs budget
+ S9 C0 i7 M% _# r$ @1 G$ h. _•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff
& q% {3 f4 k9 A. j% K3 c•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers* H! j1 v7 i) F0 t* C
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions. l, E+ u& ]. {
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
2 B" B# P& s+ D( J1 e/ C; r: s" Q% n•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
# ~" f: @3 M0 \) \; H9 I•        meet with staff on regular basis5 ~( E1 n3 U8 k& j  P$ k
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services; d0 b7 F1 D2 `9 ?2 p
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
* F7 v5 u: W( A•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities5 N1 `4 z" G  C! \4 J! o
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders' K) J" a1 ~+ j3 ?; X) M
•        set program priorities and directions * M. R; ]% d5 z: R6 g$ R. {
•        identify community and user needs and trends
7 i7 H6 L9 T4 V•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
. B4 q. O( j& V3 }, t3 l3 H•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research# |# w/ a1 x+ q! T
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
! C, A: v$ B6 T( v•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required1 K" X+ \5 L0 c, M
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development+ R( o) \9 D  |; J- t) r
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others
0 X) A3 H" R' c! [% X3 |' w$ m5 x5 G
External Relations! T4 k' r) E# ^
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities3 x6 P$ t6 G1 W& ?7 R- `1 S% T; H
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
, R' |& q$ j6 r•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
- z0 b& C9 a, ?+ w" V/ H•        identify community needs and trends5 p4 w4 m) J3 i# j0 j& t+ q
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups2 v- U- s( i! f2 P+ ?$ N
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups: M" ~/ j" m& X" ?7 ?" t0 a
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
6 A- c: e* ~! i! s•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff4 h6 a4 w: ^) t7 B" f  R

5 U8 V$ W7 y8 A5 |) Y% KQualifications
- K7 y  S7 d4 P) x6 E, u* {' C-        University degree in a related field; $ q* \- T& Y9 w6 m; z/ X# B
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;% u) u5 S# X. x7 p9 D1 L5 Y" z) S
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
, l+ P4 A  p! A- l# ^$ y-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
" V! @5 j; g3 t' {8 T& Y7 M3 M% f2 C; a' X) U, F
Salary
" }( t& j0 q6 ~& N: j( m-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ; {" P9 V, Z* J- m# P
1 V& Y% R* j, H% x! M' @! Z
