• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities

• identify community and user needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• identify community needs and trends
2 V6 W' D, C! A) T• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups1 w/ b0 {2 L1 g! _
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups0 m) U7 q; S. X: H
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.* g9 G' f' H* k, t: Q* z% d
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff4 u7 H; n9 V' ^7 c
1 d- D+ F! e' ~Qualifications8 X6 D; a: v6 M _
- University degree in a related field;
O8 k0 l* S" X: C% h0 |- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
3 P% y# s: L9 w5 X e- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; - x" q) e# \- D8 J; D% X) V5 K, o0 S
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization ! U1 {1 `% R8 M, h
+ C7 J7 a& m; `
Salary
# \' K4 [; G& g, @7 ]9 M- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 8 _# ~ V0 Q, L' F5 j
